Summary of what you'll do:

Day-to-day, you’ll focus primarily on exploratory and regression testing as part of Blinker’s QA team, helping to deliver quality software releases to our customers.  You’ll work closely with Software Engineering, Product Management, and Creative teams, and should be a passionate advocate for our customers.  The ideal candidate will have experience with both manual and automated testing of native mobile and web applications, APIs, and be able to work independently and in collaboration with a group.

What is expected of you:

  • Serve as a champion for quality throughout the software development process
  • Create and execute functional and regression test scenarios
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand system requirements, use cases, and performance considerations
  • Review and help refine acceptance criteria before development begins
  • Log and track defects in a clear and concise manner

Your skills and experience:

 

  • Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience creating test scenarios, managing defects, and executing exploratory and automated testing of native iOS, Android, APIs, and web-based applications.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban product development processes.
  • Experience with testing tools such as Git, Jira, Xcode, Android Studio, Charles, REST clients, Postman, etc.
  • Knowledge of, or familiarity with, scripting languages or automation frameworks.
  • Must be self-motivated, curious, and detail-oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
